What One Thing Should a Detox Diet Include?
Article by Peter Foremski
There a plethora of advice and suggestions on how to undergo a detoxification plan. However, you should pay more attention to what is often secondary information, that is on what you can drink.
Some of you may ask what is the best detox diet. Maybe that’s a bit like asking that other unknown answer like how long is a piece of string. Just glance at the myriad amount of books on the subject in the library or nearest bookshop.
The common theme I guess is that the reason for detoxifying your body is for the stated health benefits. I can testify to that myself after having done a month long detox diet recently. Having a healthy appetite I enjoyed most foods and this included the odd glass of wine and beer. But, many of the usual dishes have to be substituted for a more restrictive dietary regime.
Amongst many things this includes more fruits and vegetables, certain pulses and I remember having to consult my cookery book like never before, in an effort to stay on the straight and narrow. That’s fine and sometimes dreary but, to add to my disappointment the drinks allowed were equally few. Fruit smoothies were my favorite and things like grape juice and water were next in line. It wasn’t till I was mid way through that I discovered how important a part water plays in a detox diet.
We tend to forget that by simply drinking it we will naturally flush out some of these toxins whenever we visit the toilet. The reasons are chiefly that water is good at transporting things through our bodily systems. Add to that it’s also a good solvent and you start to get the picture. The elimination processes are important in achieving the right results.
So it makes sense to take the necessary steps to be able to drink water that is of the highest possible purity. This is the real cornerstone of the best detox diet. For constructive tips and advice on what’s needed to get pure water go to my main site.
